Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has stated the remaining three judges of the Supreme Court of Maldives have proven their innocence by standing against the attempted coup.
The party rest assurance that these judges would serve the country with loyalty and dedication, Deputy Leader Abdul Raheem Abdulla said speaking at a press conference held by the ruling party. In this regard, Abdul Raheem Abdulla said he believes these three judges signed on the February 1 Supreme Court Order with no knowledge of the actual plot of the opposition backed by Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed and Judge Ali Hameed and Judicial Administrator Hassan Saeed.
Abdul Raheem Abdulla added that PPM has played an important role in delivering accurate and authentic information to the public on the attempt of the oppositional alliance to topple the lawfully elected Government of Maldives.
With Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed and Judge Ali Hameed currently in custody, the Supreme Court judging panel now consists of Judge Abdulla Areef, Judge Adam Mohamed and Judge Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi.
