Government of Maldives has launched the new concept design of Dhoogas in Addu city as part of the efforts to develop and reopen Dhoogas.
The project, contracted to Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), to develop as a city hotel in Dhoogas was inaugurated at a function held in Gan, Addu. 40 rooms will come to service within the next five months while the number is expected to be doubled within a year, according to MPL.

The development brought to Gan International Airport and the reopening of Dhoogas will directly benefit the residents of the city, said Minister Thoriq highlighting the economy of Addu city is widely connected to Gan.
The Minister assured that even though the development of Dhoogas was previously neglected, the current Administration will develop the hotel in a way that it will benefit the entire city.
