Maldivian Government increases salary of civil servants

The Government of Maldives has increased the salary of civil servants.

Civil servants attaining minimum income would receive an increment of 37 percent, President of Civil Service Commission (CSC) Dr. Ali Shameem revealed at a press briefing. This is recorded as the biggest increment in civil servant's wage in Maldives.

The circular published by CSC said an allowance of not less than USD 45 would be credited in addition to the basic salary. The salary increment is aimed for the betterment of living standards of civil servants, according to CSC.
