The Government of Maldives has once more invited opposition parties to resume party talks.
Noting that after Maldives Police Service revealed some of the evidences against the people behind the attempted coup, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. Mohamed Shainee said the Government believes that opposition would want to solve the current issues through dialogue. In this regard, Minister Shainee, who represents the Government in the party talks, called on political parties to resume party talks.
All previous attempts of the government to conduct party talks failed due to lack of cooperation from the opposition asking for various conditions to be set. Government of Maldives revealed its readiness to resume party talks without any conditions to revert back to normal situation through dialogue.
