Ministry of Health organises a training workshop for health care providers on the clinical recognition and management of dengue fever.
The training programme which was held in partnership with Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital and NCIT was aimed to familiarise clinicians and nurses to dengue management guidelines to enable them to use a systematic approach to diagnose and manage dengue and recognizing dengue cases early in the clinical course. In the workshop, scenarios were also discussed to enhance the understanding of dengue management and aimed to familiarize clinicians to the recording and reporting requirement for public health purposes.
Various participants from including doctors and nurses from atolls and regional hospitals and some health facilities in Male' participated in the workshop which was held from 25 to 27 of this month.
