Government of Maldives has announced plans to host the fourth edition of the Maldives Investment Forum in the United Arab Emirates this year.
The Maldives investment forum is an initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development to further boost the economic and trade sector of the country by promoting the investment opportunities available in the country to prospective investors from across the globe. The annual event also aims to create a platform for local businesses to network and create connections.
Economic Ministry has thanked local businesses for its support to the investment forum during the past couple of years. The Ministry is to reveal further details of the event in the coming weeks. The Maldives Investment Forum was launched by the government in 2014.
Three editions of the forum has been held, in Singapore, Beijing and New Delhi. The Ministry notes that all the previous forums were able to haul in large scare investments, contributing to the overall development of the country and its economy.
