President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has appointed Hussain Shareef as Ambassador of the Maldives to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
President Yameen presented the letter of appointment to the new Ambassador, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office.
Mohamed Hussein Shareef has held various government posts, including Ministerial post at the President's Office and Maldivian Ambassador to Japan most recently.
