International Aid Campaign (IAC) has stated that all donations collected through the Help Syria campaign has been sent to Syria. Speaking on Raajje Miadhu TV Progamme, aired on PSM News, Founder of AIC, Adam Naif said the Help Syria campaign garnered much support from public.
The Help Syria campaign was initiated in January this year, as part of a wider programme titled International Aid Campaign (IAC) organised by a group of local NGOs to assist Muslims suffering due to various conflicts around the world.
Founder of IAC, Adam Naif stated the nationwide campaign held under the title Help Syria garnered much support from the public.
He said over 70,000 garments and 1,350 fish cans received through the campaign has now been sent to Syria via the assistance of the biggest humanitarian foundation of Turkey, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation. After conclusion of the Syria campaign, they are now planning another campaign which would target providing assistance to Muslims facing persecution, war or famine, according to IAC.
IAC said the priority is to provide food and assistance during the next campaign and cited that Maldivians are very eager and generous when it comes to donating to those in need. IAC is a local NGO which was created in order to help Muslims in other countries.
