Sultan Park to be open for public in August

Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Mohamed Muizzu revealed that the Sultan Park would be opened for public next month.

Sultan Park has been one of the most historic and prestigious parks in Maldives. The development of the Sultan Park was announced with much scope but got hindered. Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure revealed that the latest plans on the development of the park are to allow children and families to spend quality time. Currently, the development of the Sultan Park is handed to SIVEK which is a company of the Maldivian Defense Force (MNDF).

Minister of Housing and Infrastructure revealed that the core asset of the Sultan Park is to provide and deliver a peaceful environment for children and families to enjoy. The Housing Minister revealed that the newly developed Sultan Park would have corners for entertainment and would have aspects which reflect the history of Maldives.

The park which is set to be opened next month but the original concept of development of the snow theme corner would be completed by November this year. Housing Ministry ensured that the decade old palace and the old trees would remain untouched and remain to be one of the main highlights of the park. The park would also be equipped with corners for teaching the rich history of Maldives, and would have various fountains to establish a friendlier look for the visitors.

The development of Sultan Park has been a project which has been a key project which has been conducted under the supervision of President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
