Polling process was peaceful: Maldives Police Service

Maldives Police Service has stated that no arrests were made in the special operation conducted for the 2017 Local Council Election.

In addition to ensuring security near polling stations in all islands, police were also active in managing traffic, while polls were open. Police said that the polling process was calm and peaceful.

Police conducted a special operation in all areas of the country named 'Dhihi', to ensure a peaceful polling process on Friday.
