Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohamed Asim has met with Sartaj Aziz, the Foreign Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan.
During the meeting held this morning, the Foreign Minister expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality extended by the Government of Pakistan. Discussions at the meeting revolved on issues of mutual interest in the areas of bilateral and regional cooperation. Dr. Asim thanked the Pakistani government for its contribution to developmental efforts by the Maldives.
Minister Asim is travelling to Pakistan on a two-day Official Visit. During the visit, the Minister will call on the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
