Maldives strongly condemns the ballistic missiles launch by DPRK

The Republic of Maldives has strongly condemned the launch of four Ballistic Missiles by Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on 6 March 2017.

“The recent ballistic missile activities by the DPRK is a clear violation of international law, the relevant Resolutions of the Security Council, and an act of unnecessary provocation. The DPRK’s behavior remains a hindrance to regional peace and stability and also a serious threat to international peace and security,” a statement released by the Foreign Ministry said.

The Maldives calls upon the DPRK to immediately halt such provocative actions and to comply fully with the relevant Resolutions of the UN Security Council, the statement further said.
