Minister of Tourism Moosa Zameer has inaugurated the Maldivian gala night at the ongoing ITB Berlin 2017, he world's largest tourism trade fair.
The Maldivian Ambassador to the Great Britain, Ambassador to Germany and high ranking officials of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) and Ministry of Tourism participated in the event.
Speaking at the event, Maldives Ambassador to Germany Jameela Ali noted that the embassy in Berlin would work on advertising the Maldives in Germany. The acting Managing Director of MMPRC Haaris Mohamed highlighted the efforts of the administration of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom in developing the Maldivian tourism industry.
A special raffle draw was also taken during the event amongst the foreign nationals who participated in the event. The 7 winners of the draw will get the opportunity to spend 7 days in 7 different resorts in the Maldives, according to MMPRC.
