First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim has visited Kolamaafushi Island and Vilingili Island of Gaafu Alifu Atoll today.
The First Lady, who was given a warm welcome by the locals, met with people with special needs and the women living in the islands. She also officially inaugurated the office of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) in Kolamaafushi Island. The First Lady further held successful discussions with officials working in the Health and Education sector of the islands. During her visit, she visited the islands of Maamendhoo and Nilandhoo of Gaafu Alifu Atoll yesterday.
The first lady's visit is part of a campaign, aimed at meeting and inquiring about the needs of the vulnerable and people with special needs in the islands of Gaafu Alifu Atoll. She is accompanied by a delegation of cabinet ministers and parliament members during her visit to Gaafu Alifu Atoll.
