Sudan’s Fiqh Academy delegation arrives in Maldives

A delegation of Sudan's Islamic Fiqh Academy on Tuesday arrived in the Maldives to discuss contemporary issues and Islamic jurisprudence.

The delegation is visiting the country on the invitation of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.

The Sudanese delegation was welcomed at Velana International Airport by Islamic Minister Dr Ahmed Ziyad and former President of Maldivian Fiqh Academy, Sheikh Mohamed Rasheed Ibrahim. 

The delegation includes President of Sudan's Islamic Fiqh Academy, Dr. Essam Al-Bashir, and Secretary General, Dr Adam Ibrahim Al-Sheikh. 

The delegation is scheduled to attend a special symposium for local religious scholars to be held on Thursday.
