Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister expects Maldives-Pakistan Business to unlock opportunities

Hailing the upcoming Maldives-Pakistan Business Forum as a vital catalyst for economic growth, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has said that the event will successfully foster closer ties between the business communities of both nations and unlock valuable new opportunities.

The remarks came during a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu as part of the President’s ongoing state visit to Pakistan from 20 to 22 October.

During the high-level meeting, President Muizzu expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the host nation and emphasised the Maldives' commitment to building upon existing relations for mutual benefit.

Conveying warm regards from Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Dar echoed this sentiment, identifying key areas for future collaboration—including trade, investment, education, climate action, and tourism—to further solidify bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
