PSM launches Maldives TV brand at WTM 2016

Public Service Media (PSM) on Monday launched the Maldives’ first ever global TV brand.

“Maldives TV” brand was officially launched at the World Travel Market in London by the Maldivian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ahmed Shiaan.

According to the state broadcaster, the English language channel will focus on the leisure and travel industry of the Maldives and provide up-to-date information on tourist resorts, liveaboards and budget accommodation across the country. It will also broadcast travel information, programmes on the culture and lifestyle and history of the Maldives, as well as promotional events in the country.

Maldives TV will have a website and a presence across a broad range of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, PSM said.

PSM currently operates 3 TV channels, 3 radio channels, a news website, and a print magazine.
