Maldivian to operate special charter flight for MIF 2016

The Ministry of Economic Development has said the national carrier Maldivian will operate a special charter flight for those travelling to New Delhi, India to attend the 3rd Maldives Investment Forum (MIF) to be held later this month.

This year’s forum will be held from November 22 to 23 at the Taj Palace Hotel in New Delhi, India.

MIF is the prime investment event of the Government of Maldives showcasing lucrative investment opportunities in the Maldives. The first edition of Maldives Investment Forum was held in Singapore and the second edition was held in Beijing, China.

The Ministry of Economic Development says it will be partnering with the Federation of the Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to ensure the presence of leading Indian companies as well as global businesses at MIF 2016. According to the ministry, MIF will also be attended by key decision makers of the Government of Maldives and the Maldivian corporate sector, and it will be an ideal platform to initiate investment leads, network and enhance business prospects.

Investment sectors to be showcased at MIF 2016 include finance and banking, real estate, tourism, information and communication technology, and renewable energy.
