ACC, PG Office sign cooperation agreement

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday signed a memorandum of understanding with the Prosecutor General’s Office on extending cooperation in investigating and prosecuting corruption cases.

The institutions said the agreement would further speed up investigation and prosecution of such cases.

Speaking to the media after signing the agreement, Prosecutor General Aishath Bisaam said “the collaboration will further accelerate prosecution of corruption-related crimes in the country.”

President of the Anti-Corruption Commission Hassan Luthufee said “the two institutions have been working with each other in the past as well, and the MOU will make it more efficient.”
