Vice President Usthaz Hussain Mohamed Latheef has urged the public to strictly obey road traffic rules and prioritise road safety.
In a post shared on social media, the Vice President emphasised that road safety is a personal responsibility for every citizen, and is one of the most important things one can do to ensure the safety of others around them. He warned that reckless and dangerous driving can cause life-changing consequences for drivers and others. He called on all road users to act responsibly and prioritise the safety of others.
Police statistics show 1,064 road accidents were reported by the end of April this year.
