Maldivian launches Bangkok promotional fares for July holidays

Maldivian, the national airline, has introduced a specialised promotional fare for travel to Bangkok, Thailand, timed to coincide with the upcoming July holiday period. The carrier stated that the special fare structure will remain in effect exclusively from 12 July through 2 August. Round-trip ticket prices under this targeted promotion will begin at an introductory rate of USD 399, providing passengers with a generous 25-kilogramme baggage allowance, the airline announced.

Operations for this promotional route are structured on a strict weekly basis, with flights scheduled to run every Sunday. Outbound services from Malé depart at 11:00 a.m., while return flights depart Bangkok at 6:40 p.m. To facilitate access to these seasonal routes, Maldivian has officially opened the reservation window, allowing customers to begin booking tickets immediately for the upcoming services.

This initiative aligns with the carrier’s established strategy, as the airline has a documented history of introducing dedicated flights to international destinations during peak vacation periods. Reflecting on recent seasonal endeavours, the airline conducted similar operations this past January, serving both Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Bangkok.

Those initial flight offerings garnered substantial consumer enthusiasm and strong market demand, the airline stated. A robust volume of more than 2,120 passengers, the carrier noted, utilised the Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok routes during the January operational period. Annually, in coordination with school closures and recognised holiday periods, Maldivian consistently augments the frequency of domestic and international operations to safely accommodate elevated travel demand.
