Applications open until mid-January for Noorul Azaan 1447 competition

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has stated that the deadline to submit applications for the Noorul Azaan 1447 competition will remain open until 15 January.

The Ministry has opened the competition to participants from all atolls this year, expanding from last year when it was limited to Male’ City. The competition’s main goal is to promote love for Islam and recognise excellence in calling the Islamic prayer.

Auditions will be held in the atolls, with winners from each atoll advancing to compete during Ramadan. The competition will feature two rounds, with participants calling the Azaan in their chosen style in the first round, and the top seven performers advancing to the second round.
