Foreign Ministry holds UK Student Visa application programme

Foreign Ministry on Wednesday held a special programme to facilitate visa applications for Maldivians wishing to pursue higher studies in the United Kingdom.

The Ministry said the service was launched following discussions with the UK High Commission to ease visa application process for Maldivian students.  

The Ministry accepted visa applications till 5:30 pm Wednesday, including application forms and biometric data of applicants.

Dr Mohamed Asim, Minister of Foreign Affairs, expressed hope that this service would assist those seeking higher studies in the UK.

Usually Maldivians travel to Colombo, Sri Lanka, to obtain UK student visa.
