Work commenced Tuesday on a road project in Ungoofaaru Island, Raa Atoll.
Abdul Nasir Ali, Ungoofaaru Council President, told PSM News that the project would see the development and asphalt-layering of 15 roads.
The 32-million Rufiyaa project, contracted to Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC), is financed by the Government.
It will see the development of 3.2 kilometres of road.
The work is expected to be completed within 380 days.
