The President’s Office has announced that applications are now open to fill four vacant seats on the Tax Appeal Tribunal, following the expiration of the terms of its members.
Individuals may collect application forms from the President’s Office on working days, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm The deadline for form collection and submission is 12:00 pm on 5 November.
The Tax Appeal Tribunal is tasked with adjudicating matters related to the Tax Administration Act or any other Taxation Acts.
It has the power to review and deliberate, as it deems appropriate on matters determined by the Tax Administration Act or any other law to be adjudicated by the Tribunal, along with the power to summon persons, elicit witness statements, obtain proof and evidence or do anything necessary to verify and elicit the truth of submission
The Tribunal is composed of five members who are appointed by the President with the approval of the Parliament.
