Three more groups of Hajj pilgrims from the Maldives departed to Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
60 hajj pilgrims, travelling under the care of al-Harmain group, left for Saudi Arabia at 10:50am.
The second group of 246 pilgrims, travelling under the care of Maldives Hajj Corporation, left for Saudi Arabia at around 2:10pm.
Another group of 95 pilgrims, also travelling under the care of al-Harmain group, left at 8:20pm.
The Hajj Corporation said, another batch of 266 pilgrims travelling with the state-owned company, would leave for Saudi Arabia Monday.
The final group, a total of 193 hajj pilgrims travelling under the care of Sisilfaru Hajj and Umrah Group, are set to depart on August 23.
The Saudi Arabian government granted a total Hajj quota of 2,000 to the Maldives this year, of which 1,000 are travelling under the care of Maldives Hajj Corporation.
