President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has changed the name of TradeNet Maldives Corporation Limited to Maldives Innovation and Digital Company Limited. He made the announcement under a presidential decree issued on Thursday.
Established in 2019 as a wholly government-owned enterprise, TradeNet Maldives was initially created to serve as a centralised digital platform, facilitating business services through a single window operational framework.
According to the Presidential Decree, the new name reflects the strategic direction outlined in the Maldives 2.0 Roadmap 2025–2028 – Journey to Digital Transformation, which envisions a more innovative and technologically advanced Maldives. The rebranding aligns the company’s identity and mandate with the Government’s digital transformation agenda, strengthening its role in leading and supporting national initiatives in innovation, technology, and digitalisation.
With this change, the company will play a pivotal role in advancing the Maldives’ digital transformation, ensuring its operations and corporate identity remain aligned with national development priorities.
