President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated Ahmed ‘Kashima’ Shakir on receiving the Honorary Narrator Award at the International Narrators Forum held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In a post shared on social media, the President praised Shakir for earning the honour at the Sharjah International Narrators Forum (2025), organised by the Institute for Heritage in Sharjah. Shakir received the award from the Emir of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi.
The Honorary Narrator Award is presented to individuals recognised by their countries as custodians of cultural heritage, whose efforts have significantly contributed to its preservation and promotion. Shakir, member of the Nationhood Committee in the field of history, is known for his extensive work and contributions across multiple fields in the heritage sector.
