High Commissioner Luveiz Presents Credentials to Australian Governor-General in Canberra Ceremony

Mohamed Luveiz, newly appointed as Non-Resident High Commissioner Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Maldives to Australia, presented his Letters of Credence to the Honourable Samantha Joy Mostyn AC, Governor-General of Australia, during a ceremony held Thursday afternoon at Government House in Canberra.

The occasion marked the formal commencement of High Commissioner Luveiz’s diplomatic assignment in Australia. According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, High Commissioner Luveiz conveyed greetings and best wishes from President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to the Governor-General. He also affirmed his intention to strengthen the longstanding and cordial ties between the two nations over the course of his tenure.

High Commissioner Luveiz was appointed to the role on 3 March 2025 by President Muizzu. He continues to serve concurrently as the High Commissioner of the Maldives to Singapore.
