Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources is conducting a training programme on the preparation of value-added fish products and small business management in Nilandhoo, Faafu Atoll.
The programme commenced on 4 August, and will continue until 8 August.
A total of 11 individuals, including 6 women and 5 men, are participating in the training programme. The programme is conducted by three technical staff of the Ministry of Fisheries.
The training includes both theoretical and practical components, providing information on value-added fish products and offering participants the opportunity to prepare them hands-on. The Ministry is also equipping the participants the knowledge and skills required to establish and manage small businesses in the fisheries sector.
The Ministry of Fisheries regularly conducts such programmes across the country.
