Maldives Showcases Unique Offers for Chinese Travellers at BITE 2025

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) is presenting unique offerings available in the Maldives for Chinese travellers at the Beijing International Tourism Expo (BITE) 2025.

Held from 27 to 29 June at the China International Exhibition Center (Chaoyang Venue), MMPRC is joined by six key industry partners to reinforce its strong presence in the Chinese travel market.

The Maldives stand at the expo is laden with activities including photo opportunities, promotional video displays, and one-on-one business meetings with travel trade professionals.

Co-exhibiting with MMPRC are Try Maldives Holidays, Plumeria, Sun Siyam Travels, ICOM Marina Sea View, Diamonds Thudufushi Beach & Water Villas, and Courtyard Maldives. These partners are showcasing a wide range of travel products that reflect the Maldives’ diversity, from boutique stays to full-service experiences.

Participation in this event supports MMPRC’s ongoing efforts to maintain momentum from the Chinese market and promote the Maldives as a leading long-haul and year-round destination. As of 11 June, the Maldives has welcomed 122,088 visitors from China, following a total of 263,340 arrivals in 2024. China has maintained its place as the top arrivals market for the Maldives this year as well.

MMPRC’s participation in BITE 2025 complements a series of successful campaigns conducted in China throughout the year. These include high-impact digital activations, joint promotions with major tour operators, and media familiarisation trips. MMPRC is continuing to implement targeted efforts such as Visit Maldives Week in China and participation in regional tourism forums to sustain destination visibility and drive further growth.
