Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has officially inaugurated the Certificate III in Airport Security and Management course at Aviation Institute of Maldives (AIM).
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, MACL’s CEO and Managing Director Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed noted the significance of Estate Security Services (ESS) in the overall security and safety of the Velana International Airport (VIA).
Shareef highlighted the role played by Estate Security Services in resolving the taxi queue problem at the airport, which is the direct result of such training programmes.
"It is the aim of the Aviation Institute to foster a culture of mutual respect among the staff of MACL,” he said.
Speaking on behalf of AIM, MACL’s General Manager Adam Naseer said that in the future, the institute plans to offer diploma level courses recognised by the Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA). He also assured that MACL will continue to lift the academic competency of its staff.
At the ceremony, the CEO officially launched the annual calendar of ESS. In addition, the MQA approval certificate was presented to the CEO on behalf of AIM.
