Vice President Graces High Achievers' Award 2024 Ceremony to Honour 359 More Students

Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef attended the fourth session of the High Achievers' Award 2024, held at the Maldives Centre for Social Education (MCSE).

During the ceremony, the Vice President, joined by the Minister of Education Dr Ismail Shafeeu and other state officials, presented trophies to students who excelled in the O-Level examinations. A total of 359 students were recognised in the morning session.

These include 81 students who secured 7th place, 67 students who secured 6th place, 61 students who secured 5th place, 51 students who secured 4th place, 41 students who secured 3rd place, 39 students who secured 2nd place and 19 students who secured 1st place. All these students are in the national top 10 in the 2023 secondary examination results.

This year, the High Achievers' Award ceremony is being held over five sessions.

More than 1,800 students are expected to be recognised over the course of the academic year of 2022 and 2023.

The last session scheduled for later Sunday will include the conferral of the President's Award for top scorers in O Level and A Level examinations, the President's Scholarship for first-place A Level graduates, and the High Achievers' Scholarship for students earning an A pass or higher.
