Special Training Held to Enhance TV and Radio Production Skills

Special training programmes have been launched to enhance the skills of Public Service Media (PSM) employees in television and radio production.

The training programmes are being conducted at the Maldives Media Institute (MMI), which operates under PSM, by experienced producers from India.

According to the MMI, the programme attracted 100 participants, including 80 PSM employees and 20 participants from outside the organisation.

In an interview with PSM News, the trainers said the programme focuses on the concepts and techniques to be adopted in the production of TV and radio programmes.

"This programme raises awareness on television and radio production and teaches the techniques and methods to be used for generating ideas for programme production that will engage the public,” a trainer said.

Speaking to PSM News, a participant said that such programmes are excellent opportunities to develop the skills of employees.

"Such a programme will give all of our staff valuable information, and learning from the most experienced professionals in the industry is a great opportunity for growth. It is a great way to improve the skills of employees and boost creativity,” the participant said.

The programme is being conducted over three days. The institute has announced plans to hold similar programmes in the future.
