Senior Advisor to the UN Department of Political Affairs Tamrat Samuel on Thursday met President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
During the meeting held at the President’s Office, President Yameen expressed appreciation for the commitment and continued support extended by the UN for political dialogue. The President also thanked Samuel for visiting the Maldives again to continue UN’s assistance in facilitating the Political Party Talks. The President and the Senior Advisor further held discussions to help the Government in moving forward with the Political Party Talks, initiated by the Government of Maldives.
The President was accompanied at the meeting by the Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr. Mohamed Shainee and Under Secretary at the President’s Office Mohamed Naseer.
