A meeting was held on Wednesday to strengthen cooperation between the judiciary and the media.
The meeting between senior judges and media personnel was held under the Department of Judicial Administration, DJA’s campaign to make the country’s judiciary more media friendly.
At the meeting, discussions were focused on way to systematise and strengthen relations between the judicial system and the media.
Under the “Open House Media Week”, DJA has been holding various activities in collaboration with media outlets.
As part of the campaign, DJA has held information sessions for media personnel on court procedures and the functioning of the judicial system, and allowed media outlets to record video footage of the courts.
DJA is also planning to conduct a special workshop for journalists and other media personnel on Thursday (July 21).
