Maldivian Increases Domestic Flights for Eid Holidays to Meet Demand

The national flag carrier, Maldivian, has announced additional domestic flights to coincide with the Eid holidays.

Every year, Maldivian operates additional flights to domestic destinations due to high demand. Similarly, this Eid, the airline will operate 30 additional flights to 11 destinations this Eid. This includes five additional flights to Fuvahmulah, and additional flights to Addu City on top of the current scheduled flights. Maldivian currently operates three daily flights to Gan, Addu City.

Other destinations scheduled for additional flights include Hoarafushi of Haa Alifu Atoll, Hanimaadhoo and Kulhudhuffushi of Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Funadhoo of Shaviyani Atoll, Kadhdhoo of Laamu Atoll, Kooddoo of Gaafu Alifu Atoll, Kaadedhdhoo, Maavarulu and Fares Mathoda of Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.

The schedule for additional flights are as follows:

29 March - Gan
30 March - Gan, Hoarafushi, Hanimaadhoo, Fuvahmulah City
1 April - Maavarulu, Fuvahmulah City
2 April - Kulhudhuffushi, Gan, Fares Mathoda, Hanimaadhoo
3 April - Gan, Kooddoo, Hanimaadhoo, Fuvahmulah City, Kaadedhdhoo
4 April - Funadhoo, Gan, Kadhdhoo, Kulhudhuffushi, Hanimaadhoo, Hoarafushi, Kaadedhdhoo, Fuvahmulah City

Additionally, Maldivian has announced seaplane flights to Fulhadhoo of Baa Atoll during the Eid holidays, starting from 31 March. Maldivian expressed confidence that the increased flights will meet the growing demand during the Eid holidays.

The national airline has a fleet of 25 aircraft, including ATR aircraft, Dash8 aircraft, A320 narrowbodies and seaplanes used for domestic flights.
