President Dr Mohamed Muizzu extended his heartfelt felicitations and warm wishes to Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the government, and the people of Brunei Darussalam on the occasion of Brunei Darussalam's National Day.
In his message, President Dr Muizzu highlighted the longstanding, cordial relations between the Maldives and Brunei, which have thrived over several decades. He expressed his earnest aspiration to further fortify the bonds of cooperation and friendship between the two brotherly nations and their peoples in the coming years, according to a statement by the President's Office.
President Dr Muizzu also conveyed his personal best wishes for the Sultan's continued good health and well-being, along with the ongoing progress and prosperity of the esteemed people of Brunei Darussalam.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Brunei Darussalam were formally established on 31 March 1984.
