The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has announced the opening hours for shops, cafes and restaurants during Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal.
The Economic Ministry stated that from 15 February onwards, retail outlets are permitted to operate from 5:30 am until 1:00 am. The opening hours will remain the same during Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal.
Meanwhile, cafes and restaurants can operate from 5:30 pm until 3:00 am during Ramadan. During the first seven days of Shawwal, the opening hours will shift to 4:30 am until 3:00 am.
The Ministry further stated that all cafes and restaurants and takeaway services holding 24-hour permits in residential islands will also have to comply with these regulations during Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal.
