Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has hosted an exclusive ‘Maldivian Night’ in Mumbai bringing together over 100 Indian celebrities and influencers.
The event held at the at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, was attended by over 100 high-profile guests, including leading Indian influencers, key media personalities and renowned celebrities, MMPRC said.
This event was strategically organized alongside OTM Mumbai, India’s largest travel trade exhibition, reinforcing the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening ties with the Indian market.
India has remained a key source market for the Maldives, and Visit Maldives has been targeting over 300,000 Indian tourist arrivals in 2025.
To achieve this ambitious goal, Visit Maldives rolled out several strategic marketing initiatives, including an upcoming Summer Campaign, collaborations with major Indian airlines, and partnerships with leading tour operators.
The Maldivian Night featured an illustrious lineup of celebrities and influencers, including, Farah Khan, Mouni Roy, Fardeen Khan, Vihaan Samat, Angad Bedi, Mandana Karimi, Shreya Pilgaonkar, Shashank Sanghavi, Richi Shah, Ruchi Soni, Shifa Merchant, Rahul Jagtiani, Thomos Pascal, Monisha, Brinda Shah, Stephanie Timmins, Paresh, Salman Merchant, among others.
Collectively, these influencers boasted a staggering social media reach of over 200 million followers, providing Visit Maldives with a powerful platform to promote the destination across India.
According to MMPRC, many of these influencers are also scheduled to visit the Maldives in the coming months as part of an extensive promotional campaign.
With India consistently ranking among the top tourist source markets for the Maldives, this initiative underscored Visit Maldives' commitment to deepening engagement with Indian travellers.
By leveraging the influence of celebrities and content creators, Visit Maldives
highlighted the Maldives as the ultimate holiday destination for Indian tourists, catering to luxury travellers, honeymooners, families, and adventure seekers alike.
"India is a vital market for Maldivian tourism, and we were excited to further strengthen our outreach through strategic collaborations with Indian influencers, airlines, and tour operators,” MMPRC’s CEO and Managing Director, Ibrahim Shiuree said.

Despite a slump in Indian tourists in contrast to previous years, Maldives welcomed over two million tourists in 2024, a historic first for the world renowned holiday destination.
On the back of the historic success, the government has set sights on bypassing the 2024 arrival figure by at least 10 percent this year.
