President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Sunday reaffirmed his government’s commitment to addressing and resolving the concerns of the people.
The President made these remarks during a meeting at the Omadhoo Council Secretariat during his visit to the island as part of his ongoing two day tour of some islands of Alifu Dhaalu Atoll.
During the meeting with the President, Omadhoo Council members, Women's Development Committee (WDC) and top officials of some State institutions had shared concerns and aspirations on behalf of the Omadhoo people.
Council members had highlighted the island’s harbour which is currently in ruins as the biggest plight facing the island.

During the meeting, the Cabinet Ministers accompanying the President provided updates on development plans for Omadhoo.
After listening to the concerns, President Muizzu pledged to address the issues surrounding the harbour, erosion and lack of facilities at the island’s school.
