Male' Atoll Council lauds President Dr Muizzu's Cabinet

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with Male' Atoll Council. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of Huraa Council, as part of the president's two-day tour to select islands of Kaafu and Alifu Alifu atolls.

During the meeting, the atoll council briefed the President on the specific needs of islands within the atoll, as well as the broader needs for the atoll. Noting that the Kaafu Atoll is thriving on local tourism, the council requested the President to strengthen healthcare services in the area. The council further highlighted the impacts of erosion in some islands, stressing the need for an immediate solution to the issue.

The council also outlined their goals to further expand tourism in the atoll, and develop the fishing industry. The council also expressed their desire for the government to continue the city hotel project to be implemented in Maafushi, proposed by the Hajj Corporation. In response, the President assured that the council's requests would be carefully considered.

The council praised the Cabinet for its efforts and noted the ease of communication with ministers. The members expressed their appreciation for the Cabinet for carrying out their responsibilities by working closely with the public.
