Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has participated in the Heads of Government Retreat of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM 2024).
The Commonwealth Heads of Government Retreat provides a significant opportunity for senior delegations from Commonwealth member countries to enagge in a meaningful way and bring the necessary changes required by Commonwealth countries. The vice president was accompanied by the Minister of Sports, Fitness and Recreation Abdulla Rafiu.
Commonwealth leaders convene for CHOGM every two years, hosted by different member countries. This year marks the first time CHOGM is being held in a Small Island Developing State (SIDS) in the Pacific. It is being held in Apia, Samoa. The theme for CHOGM 2024 is "One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Common Wealth".
