Ooredoo's first Digital Island: Landhoo, Noonu Atoll

Ooredoo Maldives have officially announced Landhoo, Noonu Atoll to receive the title as its first digital island.

The title of Digital Island was conferred to Landhoo in the Ooredoo Maldives Digital Island, Powered by AI campaign, held to commemorate World Telecommunication Day. The memorial shield was handed over to the President of the Landhoo Council Abdul Azeez.

In the special ceremony held to confer the title, Ooredoo stated that it will exert maximum efforts to bring revolutionary changes to the social and economic prospects, in collaboration with Landhoo Council. It further reassured that Landhoo will remain at the forefront of the new digital era, taking advantage of high speed telecommunication network and affirmed to ensure innovative services with the latest technology.

During the ceremony, the official website of the island, www.landhoo.gov.mv was officiated. The website was officiated by the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Ooredoo Hussain Niyaz.

The Ooredoo Digital Island Programme aims to promote the healthcare sector, education sector and the commercial sector and other fragile sectors, while paving the path to enhance the development of such sectors and industries.
