Over 700 get medical checkups under Aasandha scheme

Over 700 individuals have received medical check-ups through the Aasandha scheme.

The initiative caters to individuals aged 35 and above, offering them comprehensive health assessments. Recent figures released by the programme indicate that 291 people have undergone these evaluations at the hospital, comprising 132 males and 159 females. In addition, 377 individuals remain on the waiting list, encompassing 147 women and 147 men aged over 50, along with 57 women and 26 men aged between 35-49.

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) is also gearing up to commence medical assessments for those aged 35 and above next week. Beyond IGMH, 505 individuals have already undergone check-ups, with 227 men and 264 women aged 50 and above. Moreover, eight men and six women over 40 have undergone assessments, while 177 individuals are awaiting their turn.

Presently, medical evaluations are accessible for individuals aged 50 and above, those aged 35 to 49, and children under 19. These evaluations are provided biannually to facilitate the early detection and treatment of significant illnesses.
