Afreen urges to limit screen time during school holidays

The spouse of the Vice President Aishath Afreen Mohamed has emphasised the importance of reducing screen time for children during the school annual holidays. The remarks were made during the graduation ceremony of Kinder Pre-School.

Officiating the ceremony, Afreen urged parents to intensify their ongoing efforts in raising children beneficial for the society, stressing the significance of actively limiting screen time during the school holidays and making the most of them.

At the event, Afreen expressed her gratitude towards educators for their unwavering commitment and diligent efforts in shaping children with skills to construct a prosperous future. She further encouraged students to abide by their parents and teachers, emphasising the necessity to shape their behaviour accordingly. On this note, she advised students to uphold good values, underscoring the importance of adhering to Islamic values as well.

Spouse of the Vice President Afreen handed awards and scrolls to 55 pre-school graduates, while also presented special trophies to 13 students who memorised Juz Amma. She was also gifted a commemorating plague in honour of officiating the ceremony.

There are currently 257 students enrolled in Kinder Pre-School.
