PNC to hold celebration with fireworks following election results

The ruling party, People's National Congress (PNC) has decided to hold a special ceremony in celebration of the remarkable victory achieved during the 20th parliamentary election, held on April 21.

PNC announced that a special ceremony in the name; "Welcome to the Maldivian's Parliament", will be held on April 22, at 2030hrs. The ceremony purports to express the party's gratitude to the residents for electing PNC candidates as the new parliamentarians. The event will be attended by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu along with senior officials. In celebration of the victory, decisions have been made to hold the ceremony with fireworks.

On this stance, PNC forwarded the invitation to party members, supporters and residents, with a request to participate in the event.

PNC secured several seats of the Parliament, marking this the first time it achieved a super majority win. The preliminary results indicate that PNC secured 71 out of 93 constituencies.
