Maamendhoo Council shares development needs with President

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with members of the Maamendhoo Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) at Fonadhoo's Social Centre to discuss the residents' most pertinent developmental needs.

During the meeting, the Council members discussed various challenges, including land scarcity, harbour repair, road development, and enhancing healthcare services.

In response to questions from WDC members, President Muizzu detailed his ambitions and vision for the future advancement of the WDCs. He expressed his objective to ensure that WDC members receive the same employee benefits as other staff, including an increase in the current WDC allowance and facilitation of annual leave and other benefits.

President Muizzu assured the Council members that he would address the issues raised during the meeting. Through the Ministers present, he relayed the latest updates on the key issues raised by the Council, reaffirming his commitment to addressing their concerns.
