Hassan Zareer appointed as the new chairperson of BML
Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the appointment of Hassan Zareer as its new Chairperson, following a decision made during a meeting with the board of directors after the extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held on March 25. Additionally, Ali Faris Mohamed has been welcomed to the Board of Directors.
The composition of BML's Board of Directors now includes:
- Karl Stumke (Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director)
- Aishath Noordeen, M. Thaangee dhoshuge
- Hassan Zareer, Hulhumale Flat no. C1-3-B
- Juwairiya Saeed, Ma. Kosheege
- Abdullah Hassan, Naseema Manzil, Alifushi, Raa Atoll
- Aishath Sajnee, Tharividhaage, Hithadhoo, Addu City
- Ali Faris Mohamed, Sinamale'-3; 35-04
- Ibrahim Mohamed, Nelun, Holhudhoo, Noonu Atoll
- Ahmed Mohamed, G. Ufaa
- Abdulla Naseem, Karankaa Villa, Filladhoo, Haa Alif Atoll
Hassan Zareer, the newly appointed Chairperson, previously served as the Deputy Commissioner General of Taxation and holds a master's degree in finance from the International Islamic University in Malaysia.
