Türkiye and the Maldives has discussed enhancing trade in agriculture and the fisheries sectors. The discussion was held during a courtesy call paid by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye, İbrahim Yumakli, on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
During the courtesy call, discussions focused on potential avenues for collaboration between the two nations in areas of shared interest. President Muizzu underscored the importance of strengthening partnerships in existing areas of cooperation, both within the bilateral and multilateral spheres.
The conversation also encompassed promoting and enhancing bilateral trade, with a particular focus on the agriculture and fisheries sectors in the Maldives. President Muizzu and Minister Yumakli deliberated on implementing training programmes tailored to the needs of the agricultural industry.
